The mixed climbing clinic led by Aaron is for climbers already experienced in ice climbing. During this clinic, participants will have the opportunity to improve their climbing technique by learning methods to climb steep rock and ice walls. This form of climbing is one of the most intense and requires technique and sustained effort. Participants will learn the necessary techniques to better handle rock and ice. This clinic is therefore intended for those who wish to start mixed climbing.

Participants will need to bring: ice axes, harness, boots and crampons.

Aaron is a pioneer ice climber. He hikes through and flies over the mountains of Wyoming to scout out some of the newest and sickest ice falls in the country. All of his explorations and pioneering has generously paid off with nearly 300 first ascents.

His knack for exploring comes from his history of hunting and hiking with his father in California. Aaron was introduced to climbing after we moved to Colorado where a co-worker took him out climbing for the first time. It only took one throw of the axe and he was hooked for life.
