Have you already taken a technical big wall rescue course but haven’t practiced in a while?
This workshop offers a practical refresher and hands-on review.

Cécilia Buil will share useful tips and tricks to reinforce key concepts and complement your previous training.

⚠️ Note: This workshop is not a full rescue course. It provides troubleshooting techniques meant to complement prior technical training.

Required level

Participants must have previously completed a full big wall rescue course with a certified school or guide.

Meeting points

  • 8:30 a.m. – Parking P1 (Festiglace welcome area): meet the assigned volunteer and head down into the canyon to collect partner-loaned equipment
  • 9:00 a.m. – Exhibitor village welcome point (down in the canyon): meet your guide

Please arrive on time to allow for equipment pickup and full participation.

Required equipment

Mandatory (or available to borrow)

  • Harness, helmet, ice tool, crampons

Mandatory (cannot be borrowed)

  • ATC
  • Prusik
  • 2 pear-shaped carabiners
  • 6–7 m of 7 mm cord
  • Knife

Clothing & personal gear

  • Warm clothing, Gore-Tex shell
  • Multiple pairs of gloves
  • Insulated jacket, base layers
  • Thermos
  • Snacks or lunch
  • Hand warmers
