Swiss climber Roger Schäli, French climber Mathieu “Meme” Maynadier, and South Tyrolean Simon Gietl attempt a first ascent of one of the most famous 6000-meter peaks in the Indian Himalayas, in Garhwal. The “Goldfish” route (M6+, A1), 800 meters long, crosses the southeast face of Meru Peak (6,660 m), demanding the utmost from all three climbers. Using a purist alpine style, without pitons and equipped with only two double ropes, they face extreme altitude, alpine hazards, and unstable weather. After weeks of highs and lows, they successfully complete the first ascent of this exceptional Himalayan route.
