Louis Rousseau
Louis is an unconditional mountain enthusiast. Between 1999 and 2010, he undertook several expeditions in the Andes, Alaska, and the Yukon. These early trips allowed him to accumulate several ascents of mountains over 6,000 meters. In 2007, he began to focus his attention on the great 8,000-meter peaks of the Himalayas. For example, he opened new routes on Nanga Parbat (8,126 meters), Gasherbrum 1 (8,068 meters), and Broad Peak (8,051 meters). He has also attempted K2 (8,611m) three times without oxygen. Louis now travels the world in search of unknown technical peaks with the aim of opening new routes or climbing unexplored slopes. He has guided groups in the Karakoram range, the Andes, and to the summit of Aconcagua. Louis is also trained as a first responder in remote areas and has taken part in several high-altitude search and rescue operations. He is the co-founder of Trek Monde, a travel agency specializing in organizing trekking trips.
